Prep & Aftercare
-
Exfoliate your entire body with an oil-free body scrub or exfoliating mitt. We love a Korean exfoliating mitt! We carry these and our exfoliating scrub for purchase as well as tan safe body wash and lotions.
-
Pay extra attention to dry areas and gently scrub your underarms to remove any deodorant buildup.
-
Shave at least 24 hours before your appointment.
-
Schedule manicures, pedicures, and waxing at least 24 hours beforehand.
-
Avoid Dove, Dial, Olay, and other moisturizing soaps that can leave a residue on your skin. We carry tan-friendly body wash that’s perfect for both prep and aftercare.
-
Arrive with completely clean, dry skin—no lotion, deodorant, perfume, makeup, oils, or other products. Try not to shower immediately before your appointment. If you need to rinse off any products, do so at least five hours beforehand using only water. Do not shave or exfoliate that day. Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and easy slip-on shoes. The looser, the better!
-
Until your first rinse, avoid water, sweating, tight clothing, and skin-to-skin contact.
-
During your first rinse, use lukewarm water and your hands only—no soap or other products.
-
Gently wipe away the cosmetic bronzer until the water runs completely clear.
-
If you notice any streaks after stepping out, get back in and gently blend that area with your hands.
-
Pat your skin dry with a towel—never rub.
-
Avoid soap, lotion, and washing your hair for the first 20 hours after your spray-tan application.
-
Once your tan has fully developed, moisturize every day to keep your color smooth, even, and glowing for as long as possible.
